Team Foundation Server Change Source Control Status Invalid Binding State

 

If the status of your project to the source control of TFS is showing “invalid”, try the following steps.

1. File -> Source Control -> Advanced -> Change Source Control
2. Select the project that is invalid then click on the “Unbind” button at the top of the window
3. Click OK
4. Right click on your project in the Solution Explorer window
5. Unload the project
6. Right click on your project again in the Solution Explorer window
7. Reload the project
8. Right click on more time on your project in the Solution Explorer window
9. Source Control -> Check In
10. You may have to additionally select “Include All” under the Exclude section of the check in screen
